An inspiring Lunch Event with Guest Speaker Candise Henry from RTI International
We kicked off the academic year with an inspiring lunch event with guest speaker, Candise Henry, a Senior Energy Specialist, at RTI International, co-organized with the Global Energy Access Network (GLEAN) at Duke University.
Candise shared valuable insights from her experience in energy infrastructure as well as energy and environmental modelling in the US and abroad. She inspired students through her work in Sub-Saharan Africa, offering a compelling look into building an impactful international career in the energy sector.
During the event, students learned about the current energy landscape and the diverse career pathways in energy access and policy. They’ve also had the chance to learn more about GLEAN as well as the Energy in Emerging Markets Case Competition (EEMCC) that will take place during Duke Energy Week in November.
A big thank you to Candise Henry for sharing her expertise, and to all the students who joined us to make this a meaningful start to the year!
