Ananya Aggarwal is a second-year Master of Environmental Management Student at Duke University, specializing in Energy and Community Engagement. She currently serves as a Research Assistant with the Nicholas Institute and as a Case Studies Editor for the Global Energy Access Network (GLEAN).
Her work is driven by a commitment to advancing a just clean energy transition. She’s broadened her expertise through research on coal value chain repurposing and power-sector transitions in Asia. A self-proclaimed “mathematical Picasso,” Ananya enjoys blending creativity with data to solve complex problems and uncover actionable insights.
Following graduation, she aspires to contribute to the Global South’s energy transition, promoting both environmental sustainability and social equity.
