Harry is a Senior Project Leader at Open Capital (OCA) with a decade of experience in both on-grid and off-grid energy, advising private sector companies, donors, investors, and policymakers across his work in market research, policy analysis, consulting, and impact investing. He has led complex, multi-stakeholder engagements for clients such as Power Africa, Shell Foundation, USAID, FCDO, IFC, and The World Bank, among others. He has led on several research engagements, for example conducting market and investment landscape assessments in Sierra Leone and Nigeria, working with Acumen to author a report on exits for the off-grid solar sector, co-authoring the 2020 Off-Grid Solar Market Trends Report, and developing a report under the Africa Clean Energy (ACE) Programme on demand-side subsidies. Harry has also supported companies directly, for example providing market research and strategy for international and local off-grid solar companies, and he has also conducted due diligence for investors on commercial & industrial solar companies. Prior to Open Capital, Harry worked on cleantech deals at SJF Ventures, developed reports in the Electricity Practice at Rocky Mountain Institute, developed projects for a local solar installer in Bermuda, and developed renewable energy policy for the Government of Bermuda. He holds a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University and an MBA and BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
