Jibike is a second year Master’s in International Development Policy student and Rotary Peace Fellow at Duke University, where she specializes in energy and environment related policy advisory and innovation.  She has 10 years of experience in connecting people and organizations to inclusive growth opportunities, leading sustainability strategies and managing complex social impact programs. At Duke’s Energy Access Project, Jibike applies a human-centered design lens to support operations efficiency, impact evaluation and impacting investing projects such as the “Private Sector-Led Adaptation Impact Investing Project”. She also leads student programming and engagement as the founding President of the Africa Policy Group at Duke’s Sanford School of Public Policy.

Prior to Duke, Jibike managed several high value development interventions spanning international trade, education, gender equality and peacebuilding for the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in Nigeria and West Africa. In her most recent role as a Programme Lead with the Conflict, Stability and Security Fund (CSSF), Jibike led the design and implementation of the CSSF’s first Women, Peace and Security Programme (WPS) in Africa. She also served as a consultant on water and energy partnerships, supporting the mainstreaming of gender and climate within the portfolio at the African Development Bank in Cote D’Ivoire. Her areas of interest cover climate adaptation finance, energy transition, rural agricultural transformation, climate-fragility risks and gender mainstreaming in governance and sustainability. She holds a B.Sc. in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and is finalizing a M.Sc. degree in Energy Economics, Management and Policy. Jibike is a foodie, an awful dancer who loves to dance, a travel addict and a dog-lover.
