Michael Hou
Graduate Research Assistant
Michael is a first year Master of Public Policy student, and intends to pursue a concentration in International Development. Prior to Duke, Michael worked in the private sector in technology-focused companies. These roles resulted in a strong curiosity about how to harness technological innovation to promote inclusive and sustainable growth, especially in the developing world. Wanting to get experience on the ground in another country, Michael joined the Peace Corps and served briefly in Albania until he was evacuated due to COVID-19. Michael holds a B.S. in Business from New York University. There, he also worked as a Research Assistant focusing on Business and the Environment.
