Global Head of Policy and Government Engagement, Bboxx
Tessa Lee is the Global Head of Policy and Government Engagement at Bboxx and leads the next generation utility’s partnerships with governments and donors across 11 markets. Her team is focused on oversight of Bboxx’s pioneering government-partnership projects including ‘smart’ subsidy programs like CIZO Cheque in Togo and Fonds Mwinda in the DRC. Tessa also leads outreach to policymakers and strategic partners around the enabling environment needed for scale up of Bboxx’s operations. Her Policy team also contributes to business development and expansion efforts across the company. Before joining Bboxx, in early 2020, Tessa was a Power Africa-funded embedded Advisor to the Ministers and Governments of Sierra Leone and Liberia while heading up the Tony Blair Institute (TBI)’s work on off-grid energy access. Tessa holds degrees from the London School of Economics and Brown University and is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa.
