Senior Associate, RMI

Marie McNamara is a Senior Associate with RMI’s India program, where she conducts applied research on project finance and energy policy to support market-driven solutions to decarbonize energy systems in India. Her current research is focused on vehicle electrification and the mobilization of financing to fund zero-carbon mobility.

Before joining RMI, Marie was a fellow with National Resources Defense Council, where she worked to identify pathways to scale distributed renewable energy development in low- and middle-income countries. Marie holds a Master of Environmental Management degree from Duke’s Nicholas School of the Environment, a certificate from the Sanford School of Public Policy in International Development Policy, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Santa Clara University.
