Graduate Research Assistant
Njeri is a first year Master of Environmental Management student focusing on Energy and the Environment. She holds a BSc degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in Kenya and has received T2 level training in solar system design and installation from Strathmore Energy Research Center (SERC). Prior to joining Duke as a graduate student, Njeri worked for over 2 years as an Analyst at EED Advisory, a boutique consulting firm based in Nairobi with service offerings in the energy, water and climate change sectors. She is currently working on research that aims to understand the impacts of electric stove use on household air quality and how electricity reliability affects households’ use of cooking technologies.
